Trucker abducted in Krugersdorp

Johannesburg - A man was arrested in Westonaria on Monday hours after allegedly hijacking a truck and abducting the driver, Krugersdorp police said.
Captain Apple Ernst said two men hijacked the truck in Randfontein.
Police in the Westonaria area were conducting a routine patrol when they noticed a truck in the veld at about 15:00.
"When police approached the truck, one of the men ran away, and the other was apprehended.
"The driver and cargo were found inside the truck," said Ernst.
The 35-year-old man is expected to appear before the Westonaria Magistrate's Court on charges of possession of stolen property and hijacking.
Police were still looking for the other man.
