Seshego - As Women’s Month comes to an end, a 34-year-old mother and her four-year-old son were found butchered in their house at Seshego, outside Polokwane in Limpopo on Wednesday night.

Seshego police spokesperson Mothemane Malefo, said the mother and child had been hacked to death with a sharp object.

"The woman was found in her bedroom in a pool of blood while they found the boy's body in a bath full of water," he said.

He said police had received a phone call from someone saying the owner of the house, in Zone 3, wanted the police to help him solve a puzzle.

Police found the bodies when they arrived and took the woman's 36-year-old husband in for questioning. He has not been charged with anything yet.
