Gang hits Sandton jewellery shop

Johannesburg - Three armed men robbed a Nelson Mandela Square jewellery shop in Sandton on Saturday morning, Johannesburg police said.
Spokesperson Superintendent Thembi Nkwashu said the robbery occurred at World's Finest Watches at between 10:00 and 11:00.
"They held a security guard and about nine staff at gunpoint, forced them to lie down at the back of the shop and cleaned it [out] of watches and other jewellery," she said.
Nkwashu said the value of the stolen jewellery was not known yet.
No arrests had been made and no shots were fired.
She said it was also not known how the suspects got into the shop.
