Protector's CFO dies in crash

Johannesburg - The chief financial officer in the public protector's office has died in a car crash, it was announced on Monday.
Zain Docrat died on Sunday while travelling from his hometown of Dundee, in KwaZulu-Natal, to Johannesburg, said spokeswoman Kgalalelo Masibi.
"The Public Protector and staff would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to the Docrat family," she said.
Docrat obtained his BCom at the University of the Witwatersrand and his Certified Theory in Accounting degree at the University of South Africa.
He served at Fazel and Associates as an audit supervisor, and at the office of the auditor general before his appointment to the office of the public protector in September 2006.
He is survived by his wife, parents and siblings.
Docrat will be buried at 15:00 on Monday in Dundee with a memorial service in Pretoria on Friday.
