Boy dies in mudslide

Johannesburg - A ten-year-old boy died in a mud-filled hole in Butterworth in the Eastern Cape on Thursday SABC news reported.
Police spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha said Lindokuhle Mlingiswa and a friend were looking for food at a site where local shops dumped their garbage.
Lindokuhle was standing in a hole when a mudslide buried him.
Residents were unable to dig him out. They then called police and disaster management services.
The boy's body was retrieved, the SABC reported.
