Polokwane - National Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi was one of the first delegates to register for the ANC's 52nd National Conference taking place in Polokwane at the University of Limpopo.

Selebi, who arrived on Saturday, said he was looking forward to the conference, which was expected to host around 4075 delegates.

Delegates gathered at the Polokwane International Airport on Saturday morning to register for the four-day conference.

Delegates from as far away as Kuruman in the North West, gathered in a large aircraft hangar at the airport, waiting to register in the hot Polokwane morning.

The conference was expected to kick off early on Sunday morning.
