    Durban - A rally scheduled to be held in Durban on Friday for newly elected ANC president Jacob Zuma has been called off, the Congress of SA Trade Unions said.

    The rally - organised by Cosatu - was scheduled to start at Durban's Curries Fountain stadium at 10:30.

    Zuma was supposed to address the rally.

    "Unfortunately, it had to be called off," Cosatu's secretary-general in KZN, Zet Luzipho, said.

    He could not say why it had been cancelled.
