Johannesburg - Suspended National Prosecuting Authority boss Vusi Pikoli has received the so-called Ginwala report on his fitness to hold office, his lawyer said on Tuesday.
"It has been sent to me under a confidentiality clause," said Aslam Moosajee.
President Kgalema Motlanthe is yet to announce his decision on the recommendations contained in the report.
The commission of inquiry, headed by former parliamentary speaker Frene Ginwala, was set up after former president Thabo Mbeki suspended Pikoli more than a year ago.
Mbeki cited a breakdown in the relationship between Pikoli and former justice minister Brigitte Mabandla.
However, Pikoli told the commission that his suspension was related to the NPA's decision to arrest suspended police chief Jackie Selebi on corruption charges.
Since then, Mbeki had been removed from office by the national executive committee of the African National Congress. Mabandla was among a string of cabinet ministers who resigned with him.
