Johannesburg - The Springs area in Ekurhuleni will experience a scheduled power cut next week due to maintenance work, Eskom said on Thursday.

In a statement the power supplier said the power cuts would take place next week Wednesday (July 16) between 08:00 to 16:00.

Areas that will be affected are Modder East, Desley Park and President Dam.

"Every endeavour will be made to restore electricity to the areas within the given time frame. However, no guarantee can be given that this deadline will be met.

"Customers are advised to treat all electrical networks and equipment as being electrically alive at all times while the repairs are being carried out," Eskom said.
