Cape Town - News24 journalists were warned to stay away from Du Noon township near Milnerton outside Cape Town on Friday morning, as policemen said "shots were being fired".

The atmosphere was increasingly volatile following attacks on foreigners on Thursday night after a community meeting.

News24's Lauren Clifford-Holmes and Verashni Pillay went to Du Noon and filed this report.
