Nqakula denies meeting Zuma
11/09/2006 08:42 - (SA)
Johannesburg - Safety and security minister Charles Nqakula has denied weekend reports that former deputy president Jacob Zuma met protection services this week, SABC news reported on Monday.
Zuma reportedly raised concerns with an SAPS commissioner, believing his life was under threat after the chairperson of the Friends of the Jacob Zuma trust in Gauteng was gunned down a week ago.
"We have not had a discussion with the ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma where he would have raised those matters, so I am unaware of the problems he may have," Nqakula told the SABC.
"But obviously the first thing that he needs to do would be to submit an appeal to us if he feels his life is in danger."
