Johannesburg - The Eagles on Sunday arranged a home engagement to meet with the Cape Cobras in the final of the 2005/6 Pro20 series on Sunday, when they beat the Highveld Lions by 34 runs in the second semi-final in Bloemfontein.
The Eagles helped in no small measure by Loots Bosman - who scored the tournament's fastest half-century - surged to 188-6.
Bosman who needed only 22-balls, surpassed Highveld Lions, Andrew Blignaut's record of a half-century off 25-balls
The Eagles, will be looking to do the "double" after claiming the Standard Bank Cup final last month, when they beat the Titans by two wickets.
Heading for the final, the Eagles finished first on the log with 21 points after five games, with four wins and one loss.
The Cobras have had a major turn-around in their fortunes after their dismal spell in the Standard Bank Cup. Third placed Cobras after the round-robin phase, won three of their five matches, and losing two.
Alan Dawson, is the tournament's leading wicket taker with 9 wickets, and the Cobras will be looking to the medium pacer and Charl Willoughby to come to the party one more time.
The winning team of the Pro20 series will walk away with prize money to the value of R300 000 with the runners-up of the series taking home R100 000.
The Master Blaster of the Series will be announced later in the year at the SA Cricket Awards.
