'Equipment left in hotel'
14/02/2007 21:30 - (SA)
Johannesburg - A spokesperson for the Airports Company of South Africa, Solomon Makgale, says the Pakistan cricket team left equipment at a Cape Town hotel and it did not disappear en route to Johannesburg as reported in the media.
Makgale was responding to media reports that items of the team's equipment had gone missing.
Makgale said an investigation was launched on Wednesday morning and it was established that the players had not checked in the missing equipment at the airport.
The players had been en route from Cape Town to Johannesburg to play in the final one-day international against South Africa when they discovered some of their equipment was missing.
