Mbhalati wants more pace

Johannesburg - Lanky Nashua Titans opening bowler, Ethy Mbhalati, wants to work on his strength during the off-season in order to become quicker next season.
Mbhalati spearheaded the Titans victory over the Gestetner Diamond Eagles when he took the first hat-trick of the Standard Bank Pro20 Series last Sunday, to finish with figures of 4/12 in four overs.
Reflecting on his superb performance, the elated 26 year old Tzaneen-born speedster said: "It's a great feeling to make history, but it's something that you don't plan. I was bowling normally and all of sudden I ended up with four wickets in the bag.
"I want to work on my physical strength in the winter months, so that I could bowl a yard quicker in the new season," concluded Mbhalati.
Proteas and Nashua Cape Cobras right-arm swing bowler, Charl Langeveldt, is the only South African bowler to have taken a hat-trick in a One-Day International match against the West Indies at Bridgetown, Barbados in 2005.
The two bowlers will lead the attack of their teams, Nashua Titans and Nashua Cape Cobras, at SuperSport Park, Centurion, on Wednesday.
The Titans are lying second on the table with nine points from two games while the Cape Cobras, who have played only one game, will be hoping for a win to stay in touch with the leaders.
Wednesday's other clash will be at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead in Durban, where the Nashua Dolphins take on Zimbabwe Chevrons.
The Dolphins, who are the only team without a point in the competition, put in a lack-lustre performance in their last encounter against the Diamond Eagles and will want to brighten up their chances with a win, in order to keep alive their semi-final hopes.
Matches are scheduled to begin at 18:00.
