Langeveldt does it again

Cape Town - Charl Langeveldt took four wickets in five balls to set the Cobras en route to a thrilling one-wicket victory over the Eagles in their table-topping Pro20 scrap at Newlands on Friday.
Langeveldt finished with incredible figures of five for 16 from four overs, helping the Cobras to restrict the Eagles to 127 for seven. He was also at the non-striker's end as the last man in as Ryan Canning smote a four and single off the first two balls of the final over of the match from Roger Telemachus to give the Cobras a one-wicket win with four balls remaining.
The thrilling victory in another heart-stopping Pro20 match means the Cobras are certain of home field advantage for the play-offs and the inside straight on one of the two South African places in an international Pro20 shoot-out for a $1m prize.
Langeveldt again on hat-trick
Langeveldt turned the game in the Cobras' favour in the 19th over after his team had asked the Eagles to bat. Top scorers Morne van Wyk (43) and Dean Elgar (33) had just blasted Vernon Philander for 20 in the previous over when Langeveldt was brought back into the attack.
The pair fell in successive balls as Elgar top-edged to mid-on and Van Wyk edged to the keeper.
Roger Telemachus's attempt to restart the innings was ended following a single when he lost his off-stump to the unstoppable Langeveldt who dismissed Adrian McLaren lbw with his very next ball. That means he is on a hat-trick - yet -again - when he bowls his first ball in the Cobras' next match.
Dillon du Preez smashed 15 in the final over to lift the Eagles to a semi-respectable total, but Langeveldt's four wickets - to add to the wicket of Riley Rossouw at the top of the innings - prevented the Eagles soaring towards the 150 mark.
Three wickets in space of 11 balls
A 53-run third-wicket partnership between Herschelle Gibbs (21) and top scorer Stiaan van Zyl (30) put the Cobras in sight of victory at 75 for two before spinner Thandi Tshabalala introduced a serious mid- innings wobble.
He took three wickets in the space of 11 balls to plunge the Cobras into crisis at 100 for five dismissing both Gibbs and Van Wyk as well as the dangerous Tyron Henderson (21).
Henderson fell as he went for a third six off Tshabalala over long on, but the impetus he gave the innings allowed the tail to nudge and scamper their way to the 28 they needed off the final six overs.
And Sapa reports from Johannesburg that a devastating opening spell from Dolphins seamer Johann Louw and some ordinary batting from the Lions set up a comfortable five wicket victory for the Dolphins in their Pro20 match at the Wanderers on Friday night.
In the end, the Lions' paltry total of 104 at just over five runs to the over proved an easy target for the visitors who got there with 17 balls to spare.
The Dolphins won the toss and elected to bowl and the home side were soon in trouble when Louw's new ball partner Yusuf Abdulla had Lions opener Jean Symes caught behind by wicketkeeper Daryn Smit off the very first ball of the innings.
Louw then took over the cudgels and had the Lions reeling at 26 for five after five overs. His first victim was Alviro Petersen who skied the ball to mid-off and then he clean bowled Dumisa Makalima for a duck.
Dolphins never looked in much trouble
Blake Snijman soon followed caught by Grant Rowley for 18 with Louw striking with his very next ball removing Justin Ontong caught behind by Smit. Louw ended with figures of four for 28 in his four over spell.
To add to the Lions' woes, Vaughn van Jaarsveld (11) and Heinrich le Roux (15) were needlessly run out by the ever alert Ahmed Amla. Van Jaarsveld's was the pick of the dismissals with Amla directly hitting the stumps from the gully position.
It was left to tailenders Garnett Kruger and Friedel de Wet to add some respectability to the Lions scoreboard. Their 37 run partnership in 35 balls was the highest of the home side's innings with Kruger's 19 being the top score and de Wet ending on 15 not out.
The Dolphins never really looked in much trouble and when opener Doug Watson went early for one run, Rowley and Imraan Khan got stuck into the bowling.
Rowley's 46 off 67 balls which included seven boundaries and Khans's 28 (3x4, 1x6) from 39 deliveries provided the platform for Morne van Vuuren (22) and Amla to knock off the winning runs.
From Centurion comes the news that despite a valiant 70 not out by Roelof van der Merwe, a record haul of five for 13 by Elton Chigumbura gave Zimbabwe a thrilling 12 run victory over the Titans in their Pro20 match at Supersport Park on Friday night.
Chigumbura started his reign of terror in the first over, when he dismissed Gulam Bodi (caught Prosper Utseya) and Albie Morkel (caught behind by Taylor) before the Titans had a run on the board.
Jaco Booysen was out leg before wicket for two in Chigumbura's second over, and in his final over, Chigumbura made further inroads when Faf du Plessis was caught by Stuart.
Matsikenyeri for four and Pierre Joubert was leg before without scoring.
Chigumbura had five for 13 off four overs
The Titans were reeling on 10 for five, and Chigumbura finished with the best bowling figures in the history of the competition - five for 13 off his four overs. His record spell earned him the Master Blaster Bowler award.
Chigumbura continued to make the Titans' lives a misery when he caught Farhaan Behardien off Utseya for 16, to have the Titans in deeper trouble on 28 for six.
Van der Merwe and Heino Kuhn put on 38 runs for the seventh wicket before Kuhn was caught by Matsikenyeri off Taurai Muzarabani for 14.
Van der Merwe and Aaron Phangiso looked for a while as though they might just snatch victory for the Titans, as they smashed four fours and three sixes on their way to a 53 run partnership, but hopes of an amazing win faded when Phangiso was caught by Hamilton Masakadza off Keith Dabengwa for 18 off 12 deliveries.
At the start of the last over, the Titans needed 15 runs, but the first ball was a dot ball.
Van der Merwe ended undefeated on 70
Andre Nel scrambled a single off the second, but superb bowling by Chibhabha prevented Van der Merwe from hitting out, and he too managed just a single. When Nel, trying for a huge hit, was caught by Timycen Maruma off the fourth ball of the over, the Titans' hopes died.
Van der Merwe ended undefeated on 70 - his second T20 half century. It came off just 45 balls and included nine fours and a six, and won him the Master Blaster batsman award.
The Titans ended their innings on 139 for nine - 12 short of victory.
