Knight Riders flatten Royals

Bangalore - New Zealand wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum smashed the highest score ever made in any form of international Twenty20 cricket when he blasted an unbeaten 158 to lead the Kolkatta Knight Riders to an extraordinary 140-run victory
over the Bangalore Royal Challengers on Friday.
McCullum faced a mere 73 deliveries and hammered another record of 13 sixes as well as nine fours in his brutal assault against the beleagured Bangalore Royal Challengers bowlers.
McCullum said: "I couldn't feel my legs for the first seven or eight balls I was so nervous.
"The huge crowd and the start of a massive tournament....it felt great to hit a few out of the middle."
McCullum added 61 for the first wicket with skipper Saurav Ganguly who managed just 10 while the second highest score came from Australian captain Ricky Ponting who made 20 from as many balls.
Part-time spinner Cameron White was heaved over the ropes for 24 in his solitary over while Jacques Kallis conceded 48 runs from his full allocation of four overs.
The home side's reply was doomed from the beginning and a top trio comprising Test "specialists" in Rahul Dravid, Wasim Jaffer and Jacques Kallis looked particularly vulnerable needing over 12 an over almost from the beginning.
The Bangalorians quickly slumped to 26-4 after six overs and only a single man, number nine batsman Praveen Kumar (18 not out) reached double figures as the Bangalorians crashed to 81 all out.
