Melbourne - Australia's David Palmer is the top seed among the men while newly-crowned world No 1 Nicole David of Malaysia is top seed for the women.

Palmer is a former World Open champion and is seeded to meet England's James Willstrop in the final. Compatriot Anthony Ricketts also could have a shot at the title having recently won the British and Australian Opens.

David will have to face up to the challenge of Australian sisters Rachael and Natalie Grinham and English pair Vicky Botwright and Jenny Duncalf.

South Africa will have four participants in the men?s section as well as two women competing at the Games
