Melbourne - With no China at the Commonwealth Games, Singapore and England will face off for table tennis honours, planning to emulate their domination when the event made its debut four years ago.
New Zealand and neighbour Australia are seen as their main rivals.
Singapore's Li Jiawei, a triple gold medallist in Manchester four years ago, is back and looking for a clean sweep of women's doubles and singles, mixed doubles and women's team titles.
South Africa will have three competitors in the men's section and four in the women's section at this year's Games.
