Heart disease killed WWE star Drug testing coming to WWE

New York - World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Famer 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Also known as Hodgkin's disease, Hodgkin's lymphoma is a malignancy (cancer) of lymph tissue found in the lymph nodes, spleen, liver, and bone marrow. The lymphatic system helps filter out bacteria and is important in fighting diseases.

According to the official WWE website, Piper was sent home early from a tour of the United Kingdom and was hospitalised where doctors removed a mass near his spinal cord which contained an enlarged lymph node. The mass was completely removed, but the lymph node tested positive for Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Hodgkin's lymphoma is most common among people aged 15 to 35 and 50 to 70 years old.
