Sydney - Swimmer Scott Miller, who won a 100m butterfly silver medal at the 1996 Olympics, was charged on Thursday with drug offences along with the son of a former Australian rugby captain.
Police said they found a pill press capable of producing up to 27 000 pills an hour, and a professional tablet counter after searching a storage facility in northern Sydney. They arrested Miller, 33, and seized steroids after raiding a home later in the day.
Mark Catchpole, 40, was arrested at a nearby house at the same time. He is the son of Ken Catchpole, who played 27 rugby Tests for Australia, 13 as captain.
Catchpole, who appeared in court on Thursday, and Miller both face a combination of charges including possessing prohibited drugs and firearms offences.
Miller, who also won a bronze medal in the medley relay for Australia in Atlanta in 1996, will face court on May 7.
