British teen races into history

Donington, England - Fifteen-year-old British rider Scott Redding on Sunday became the youngest winner in grand prix history after he crossed the line first during a thrilling 125cc race at Donington.
The young rider pipped France's Mike Di Meglio and Spaniard Marc Marquez, in a fast and skilful race, to become the first Briton to win a grand prix class race on the home course.
Redding, in only his eighth grand prix outing, took victory after race leader Italian Andrea Iannone crashed with six laps to go.
Showing a composure that belied his years, Redding saluted his Aprilia team as he crossed the line, before doing a lap of honour wrapped in a Union Jack flag.
Di Meglio, who started in 20th position, had an excellent race in the dry conditions, to take second place and retain his championship lead.
The reigning world champion Hungray's Gabor Talmacsi fell at the beginning of the circuit, to dent his hopes of retaining his title.
