Cape Town - An independent inquiry has completed its report into the violent rugby match which led to the death of a young player in Rawsonville last month, the Boland Rugby Union said on Friday.
Advocate Ismail Jamie's recommendations would be discussed at a meeting of its executive on July 26, the union said.
"Following this meeting the full particulars of future action by the Boland Rugby Union regarding this matter will be make public," it added.
The union's attorney, Chris Faure, received the 63-page document from Jamie on Friday morning and would hand it to the union's management in the course of the day.
As the document had been compiled at the request of the union, the union would have to see it before it was made public, he said.
The report was based on four days of interviews conducted by Jamie over the match-turned-brawl on June 23.
The union was pleased a lot of people participated.
"It shows not only that the proceedings have legitimacy, but that people are concerned about it (it incident)," said Faure. "We're trying to get to the root of it."
Two players from the Delicious rugby team of Ceres appeared in the Rawsonville Magistrate's Court this week on charges of murder following the death of Riaan Loots, flyhalf for the opposing Rawsonville team.
