Johannesburg - Ernst Joubert will captain the strongest available Lions team to take on the Bulls in a pre-season Super 14 friendly rugby match in Windhoek on Saturday,

"We're looking forward to going to Namibia. The guys have worked hard during the off and pre season periods. We've been practising the new laws and have had a few referees at our practice sessions to see how we'll manage to put these laws into practise.

"The game in Namibia will be our first real test on how we manage with the laws. And we cannot wait for the challenge," said team manager Peter Maimane Thursday.

The team: Heinke van der Merwe, Willie Wepener, Eugene Maqwelana, Cobus Grobler, Franco van der Merwe, Cobus Grobbelaar, Ernst Joubert (C), Willem Alberts; Jano Vermaak, Louis Strydom, Rayno Benjamin, Doppies la Grange, Jaco Pretorius, Dusty Noble, Louis Ludik.
