Boland appoints Oberholzer

Cape Town - Boland Rugby Union has appointed former SA Rugby Union CEO Rian Oberholzer as its chief marketing manager.
His immediate task will be to secure a major sponsor after the Fidentia debacle early last year left the union crippled.
Boland president Jackie Abrahams confirmed Oberholzer's appointment.
"We are glad to have Rian on board. He is an excellent negotiator and we are looking for some exciting breakthroughs in the near future.
"I'm confident the tide will turn. We need to get back on track as soon as possible," added Abrahams.
The seasoned rugby boss said Oberholzer was approached towards the end of last year and he immediately accepted the challenge.
"We would love to turn fully professional again. As far as I know, Boland are the only semi-professional side in the Vodacom and Currie Cup competition," Abrahams said.
