  • Nel faces discipline committee
  • Bulls v Newlands-Cheetahs?
  • Bulls' World Cup Boks fit
  • Johannesburg - The Bulls' loosehead prop Jaco Engels has served his three-match suspension and will start for the Blue Bulls Vodacom Cup team who play the Free State in a clash between the two log leaders.

Engels, who was suspended after he punched the Sharks' captain Johan Muller, will be at loosehead with Rassie van Vuuren moving over to the right hand side, while Brett Sharmann will start at hooker.

The Under 20-players who attended the SA camp in Saldanha are back in Pretoria and Serfontein has included Gerrit-Jan van Velze and Stefan Watermeyer in his starting XV.

Van Velze replaces captain Pieter Meyer, who will be on the sideline for the rest of the season, and Watermeyer will again play inside centre alongside Braam Gerber. No 8 Carel Hoffman takes over the captaincy.

Frik Kirsten is back in the Blue Bulls jersey after a lengthy lay-off due to an ankle and shoulder injury and he will be on the bench with Henri Bantjes. Kirsten and Bantjes are the other players who attended the SA Under 20-camp.

Other good news is scrumhalf JP Joubert is fit and ready to start the match following a knee injury that kept him on the sideline for six weeks.

Blue Bulls: Tiger Mangweni; John Mametsa, Braam Gerber, Stefan Watermeyer, Rocco Jansen; Francis Burton, JP Joubert;Carel Hoffman (capt.), Gerrit-Jan van Velze, Okkie Kruger, Fudge Mabeta, Hendrik Roodt, Rassie van Vuuren, Brett Sharman, Jaco Engels.
