Cape Town - The attacking duo of Kabamba Floors (Cheetahs) and Danwel Demas (Bulls), have been recalled to the Springbok Sevens squad for the remainder of the IRB World Sevens Series, Saru has announced.
The players will join up with the rest of the squad at Stellenbosch where the group is preparing for the last two tournaments of the Series in England (London, May 24/25) and Scotland (Edinburgh May 31/June 1).
Mzwandile Stick underwent an operation on Sunday after he was injured at the Adelaide tournament and the early indications are that he will be out of action for at least four months.
The squad will also have to make do without two of its most promising youngsters. Robert Ebersohn, who starred in the Adelaide Cup Final against New Zealand and Wilton Pietersen are both earmarked to play for the SA Under-20 team at the IRB World Championships in Wales.
Treu has invited two uncapped youngsters Marvin Christians (Western Province) and Earl Lewis (Boland)to attend the training at the University of Stellenbosch.
The team's final preparation is the warm-up tournament in Amsterdam which takes place over the weekend of May 17-18, from where they will travel to London.
South Africa won the Australian title for the first time on April 6 after defeating arch-rivals New Zealand at the Adelaide Oval. It was the third consecutive time that the two teams have met in a Series Cup Final.
New Zealand are currently heading the log with 126 points, 34 points ahead of second placed South Africa.
