Italian Serie A round-up

Milan - Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti is to be sidelined for two months after picking up an injury on the weekend during his side's Serie A opener against Treviso, Il Corriere della Sera reported on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old Argentinian defender tore a muscle in his right leg in the final minutes of the game that Inter won 3-0 against the visiting newcomers.

The injury sees Inter return to the transfer market, which is set to end on Wednesday. They contacted Lazio for Massimo Oddo, 29, but could also consider Real Madrid's Michel Salgado.
