Gascoigne out of gas as coach

Kettering, England - Former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne left as the manager of Kettering Town on Monday - 5 1/2 weeks after taking over at the semi-professional club.
In a statement, the club's new owner Imraan Ladak revealed little about Gascoigne's departure.
"Following discussions this weekend, it has been decided that Paul Gascoigne is unable to carry out his duties as manager of Kettering Town Football Club," Ladak said.
"With Paul's status within the football world, it is impossible to expect anything but intense media speculation surrounding his departure.
"However, the priority for Kettering Town is the stability of the team, and so my immediate priority is to appoint a new manager rather than discuss the reasons for Paul's departure."
Gascoigne was hired on Oct 27 by Kettering - his first job as manager - and is 2-2-2 since he took over.
Kettering plays in the Conference North league, six leagues below the Premier League. It would need to be promoted twice to play in League Two.
In October, he quit as player-manager of League Two side Boston United after two months in charge.
Gascoigne won 57 England caps, starring at the 1990 World Cup and Euro '96 tournaments. Despite his playing brilliance, Gascoigne's career was plagued by injuries and alcoholism.
