Cannavaro heading for Chelsea?

London - Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro could be heading for London and Stamford Bridge in particular.
According to The Daily Mail, inspirational Italy and Juventus skipper Cannavaro will sign a three-year deal with English Premiership champions Chelsea.
Cannavaro, who played his 100th match for his country in the World Cup final, was arguably the player of the tournament in Germany.
Although shockingly beaten to the Golden Ball award by disgraced French counterpart Zinedine Zidane, Cannavaro placed second in the vote by journalists covering the tournament.
Zidane polled 2 012 points to Cannavaro's 1 977.
Should Juventus face relegation from Serie A following their involvement in the match-fixing scandal sweeping Italian soccer, it appears highly likely that not only Cannavaro will be seeking alternative employment.
Should he elect to join Chelsea, Cannavaro will link-up with Chelsea's two biggest off-season signings, Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack in a formidable line-up.
