28/09/2006 08:39 - (SA)
Cape Town - South Africa's Homeless World Cup representatives, the Bafowethu, lost 3-1 to Zimbabwe on day four of the tournament held on the Grand Parade in Cape Town.
Errol de Villiers scored the first goal for the home team and the crowd was clearly impressed.
Tensions ran high and the referee warned De Villiers for his rough play.
After a lacklustre first half, both coaches gave their teams inspirational talks.
Midway through the second half, Shingai Munhenga scored two goals for Zimbabwe in rapid succession, handing them the lead.
In the last few minutes, Saidi Simbrashe made the match safe when he squeezed the ball past South African goalkeeper, Nathan Abels.
It was a tough game and Bafowethu didn't go down without a fight.
