Losing 2010 bidder to sue
03/02/2007 18:21 - (SA)
Durban - A group that lost the bid to build Durban's 2010 World Cup stadium is taking the Ethekwini municipality to court, the SABC reports.
The challenge would not affect the building of the stadium, municipal manager Michael Sutcliffe told the broadcaster on Saturday.
"The group taking us to court have every right to do that, and the court will listen to the matter in a week's time."
The tender to build the stadium was recently awarded to Group Five, which is co-owned by businessman Tokyo Sexwale.
