Beckham back at Old Trafford

Nyon - David Beckham will play alongside former England teammates Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher next month in a match between Manchester United and a Europe XI.
The March 13 game at Old Trafford, featuring a European team selected by Italy's World Cup-winning coach Marcello Lippi, is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, which set up the European Union, and 50 years of European soccer at Manchester United.
Beckham, Gerrard and Carragher have all been selected for Lippi's line-up and the former England captain, who has been dropped by national team coach Steve McClaren, will be returning to the ground where he had 11 successful seasons with Manchester United.
"I'm happy to know I'm going back to play on March 13," said the Real Madrid star, who has signed a five-year deal to join Los Angeles Galaxy in August. "It will be something special to go back to Old Trafford and I'm really looking forward to it."
After six games out of the Madrid line-up, Beckham returned last Saturday and scored with a free-kick in a 2-1 Spanish League victory over Real Sociedad.
