TV rights spat continues
01/07/2007 11:31 - (SA)
Johannesburg - Indications are that the SABC is likely to be forced to go crawling to SuperSport for soccer television broadcasting rights after their meeting with the Premier Soccer League (PSL), scheduled for Monday, City Press reported on Sunday.
On Monday, the PSL and SABC will be meeting for a third time since the league announced its deal with SuperSport, said to be worth between R1.6bn and R2.2bn.
The meetings, which followed a spat in which SABC group chief executive Dali Mpofu dismissed the deal as a sham, were initiated by board chairman Eddie Funde who met with his PSL counterpart Irvin Khoza.
