Sundowns player dies in crash

Johannesburg - A well-known Mamelodi Sundowns player died, after he lost control of his car and was flung out of his vehicle, Ekhuruleni Metro police said on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Inspector Jimmy Maboko said the player, (who cannot be named) was driving his blue BMW along the R556, between Vaal Road and Brackendowns, Alberton, at 21:00 on Monday, when he lost control.
"The car went off the road and overturned a number of times.
"He was then flung out of the vehicle."
He said when police arrived, the player was already dead.
"The next of kin is still being informed and his body was taken to a Germiston Mortuary.
"Police are not sure at this stage about what had caused him to lose control of the vehicle, but we are investigating," Maboko said.
