Johannesburg - The PSL have been dealt a blow with the news that general manager Andrew Dipela has been accused of sexual harassment by some members of staff.

According to a terse statement issued by the PSL on Tuesday, as a result of the allegations Dipela has taken what has been termed "voluntary leave" for an undisclosed period of time.

The statement goes on to say that Dipela "strenuously denies" the allegations, over which an internal investigation has been launched.

It is bad news for the league, who have given Dipela greater powers over the last few years, seeing him rise from the position of general manager for the First Division to assuming the role for the Premier League as well.
