No irregular 2010 betting

Paris - The first phase of qualifying for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa has shown no signs of match-fixing.
Fifa has issued a statement saying the early warning system set up to monitor gambling on international matches had found 'no irregular betting activities' during the first phase of the 2010 World Cup preliminary competition.
"The Fifa early warning system passed its first test in 2006 and has since been introduced across the board, and that means that we now have an efficient means of supervising and controlling betting activities," said Fifa president Sepp Blatter.
Suspicions of match-fixing were raised last week when Uefa said it had forwarded a dossier containing 'irregular betting patterns' on 15 matches to European police.
