19/12/2007 07:55 - (SA)
Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs were fined R120 000, half of which has been suspended for twelve months and the remainder payable immediately, by the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday night.
Chiefs were appearing before the DC to answer charges relating to the behaviour of some of their fans at the end of Chiefs' Absa Premiership game against AmaZulu in Durban on December 5.
Fans pelted referee Buyile Gqubile with objects as he tried to enter the player's tunnel at the end of the game.
Also appearing at the DC was Chiefs' coach Muhsin Ertugral who was alleged to have directed foul and abusive language at the referee during the same match.
The Chiefs coach received a R50 000 fine which has been suspended for a year and has also been imposed with a two game touchline ban.
Ertugral's touchline ban starts this weekend when Chiefs host Black Leopards on Saturday evening in Tshwane.
