Win, but Parreira not happy

Durban - Veteran striker Sibusiso Zuma
spared South Africa's blushes after a goalless first half,
scoring in the 62nd minute as the 2010 World Cup hosts struggled
to beat Mozambique 2-0 in a friendly on Sunday.
"It was not exactly what we were looking for, we missed a
lot of opportunities and we could have had more penetration,"
said South Africa coach Carlos Alberto Parreira. "We expect to
improve in the next game."
South Africa's strike force squandered numerous
opportunities in the first of two warm-up games ahead of next
week's African Nations Cup finals in Ghana before German-based
Zuma broke the deadlock against their neighbours.
The forward received the ball from Teko Modise in midfield,
chested it down and beat the goalkeeper from a tight angle.
Lerato Chabangu added a second goal one minute from the end,
snapping up a loose ball in the penalty area.
Chabangu profited after an initial effort from fellow
substitute Thembinkosi Fanteni had been blocked by Mozambique
goalkeeper Soarito.
Two other second-half strikes by South Africa were ruled
offside.
Mozambique, who assembled a team during their off-season to
help South Africa's preparations, had their Dutch coach Mart
Nooij sent off 10 minutes from the end for protesting about a
dangerous tackle on defender Payo.
South Africa, who next play Botswana in Durban on Wednesday,
play Angola in their opening match at the Nations Cup finals in
Tamale on Jan 23.
