Johannesburg - Fifa's latest inspection tour of SA's 2010 stadium construction projects kicked off on Monday with both the governing body and the Local Organising Committee voicing their approval.
At a media conference in Johannesburg, LOC Chairperson Irvin Khoza called on South Africans to unite behind the 2010 cause:
"There is a lot of despondency in our country. The 2010 Fifa World Cup is one project which gives hope to all of us. Let us not destroy it."
The tour began in Johannesburg and Tshwane. They will also move to construction sites in Rustenburg, Polokwane, Nelspruit and Mangaung.
The delegation is composed of experts in competitions, marketing, IT, media, TV, accommodation, security, stadium construction and transportation.
