Pretoria -Where is Mamelodi Sundowns' defender Mbulelo Mabizela? The former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain has disappeared since leaving Chloorkop last week.
The former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain has disappeared since leaving Chloorkop last week under the pretext of going back home to attend to his father whom he said was ill.
However, even his mother who lives in the Pietermaritzburg area, doesn't know the whereabouts of her son, who has battled with alcohol and drug abuse in the past.
Sundowns' media and communications manager Mahlatse Mphahlele said that all their efforts to locate Mabizela have drawn a blank.
"We had hoped that he would be back with the team by now. He reported last week that had gone home because his father was sick, and at this stage it is difficult to establish whether that is the truth or not."
Mabizela's agent Mike Makaab said he was not in position to talk about the player's problems at Sundowns as he was preparing to leave for Botswana.
