Companies join strike threat Organisers dismiss 2010 worries 2010 fight boils over

Johannesburg - Former SABC newsreader Tumi Makgabo has resigned as communications and international relations manager of the 2010 World Cup Local Organising Committee.

The SABC reported on Friday that the committee had accepted her resignation.

Two weeks ago, chief officer of communications and marketing Tim Modise reportedly quit but apparently changed his mind after a meeting with officials.

Modise's resignation followed alleged tension between him and Danny Jordaan, CEO of the local organising committee.
