  • England - Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson admitted on Monday he would love to buy Brazil forward Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho could leave Barcelona in the summer and his brother and representative Roberto De Assis was entertained at the City of Manchester stadium Saturday by club directors ahead of the 2-0 defeat by Chelsea.

"It was the first time I had heard such a thing, so I really hope it is true," said Eriksson.

"We would be able to find a place in our team for him, I can guarantee that.

"I will phone the owners. It was a surprise, but if they want to package Ronaldinho for me I would accept him and be very happy."

And Eriksson joked about signing another high-profile Brazilian when he added: "I would be happy to take Kaka at the same time!"

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi said on Saturday that he would love to sign Brazil's 2005 world footballer of the year.

Ronaldinho has been at Barcelona since 2003, and has won the 2006 Champions League and two domestic titles in 2005 and 2006.

Currently out injured he has had his worst season since joining the Catalan side.

The Brazilian international has been plagued by injury and fitness problems and has started only 13 of the club's 30 league games this season.
