  • Johannesburg - Bloemfontein Celtic have expressed their delight over the outcome of the case involving their striker Petrus Mahlatsi, who appeared before Safa's Disciplinary Committee on allegations of using a banned substance.

Mahlatsi is alleged to have used the banned substance during their Absa Premiership game against Bidvest Wits last year and was hauled before Safa's disciplinary committee two weeks ago.

Celtic manager, Khumbulani Konco has confirmed that Safa found the 24-year-old striker not guilty and that the player will now be available for selection following his recovery from a knee injury.

"This is not only good news for the player but also for the team. The boy will now be able to concentrate on his soccer career. He has been working hard at training and can play at anytime, depending on the technical team's decision."

Konco also disclosed that the disciplinary case involving Ntokozo Sikhakhane and Lucky Mzizi for absconding from the team's training sessions this week will be heard next week.
