FS Stars fly into fourth place

Bethlehem - The Free State Stars moved up five places on the PSL log after they beat AmaZulu 2-0 in a PSL match at a packed Goble Park Stadium in Bethlehem on Saturday.
South Africa striker Diyo Sibisi netted both goals either side of the break to give the hosts a deserved victory and despite their determination AmaZulu have to make the long trek back to Durban with nothing.
Former Orlando Pirates player Jimmy Kauleza has been in fine form since starting against Ajax Cape Town two weeks ago and against AmaZulu he showed his worth on the right wing again.
It was his pin-point cross from the right that Sibisi powerfully headed home in the 22nd minute. Stars skipper and midfield dynamo Duncan Lechesa joined in the attacks and shot from outside the box as the hosts looked to increase their lead but AmaZulu remained composed and kept the score at 1-0 going in to the half.
Six minutes after the break it was the Kauleza-Sibisi combination that got the better of the AmaZulu defence again. Kauleza picked Sibisi out in the small box with a low cross that the latter just side-footed home to the delight of the hometown supporters.
AmaZulu veteran playmaker John 'Shoes' Moshoeu entered the game just after the goal but not even his evergreen influence could spur Usuthu on to get back in the game.
With this emphatic win Stars leapfrogged Mamelodi Sundowns, Golden Arrows, Platinum Stars, Bidvest Wits and Orlando Pirates who now find themselves in ninth place.
Stars have 39 points, eight points behind joint log leaders Ajax and SuperSport United and with only four games to go the league title is still anyone's to take.
