Aces heading for history Two wins in a row for Celtic TRZ players set for big time

Johannesburg - Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Gordon Igesund will be on the bench for Thanda Royal Zulu FC when they host Santos on May 11 at their new stadium in Hammarsdale.

This was revealed by Thanda manager Thabani Gumede ahead of their week long camp in Northern Zululand that started on Monday.

Coach Roger Palmgren will be serving a suspension he received during the Black Leopards clash when they went down 3-2 in Limpopo.

Igesund has recently been roped in to serve as technical advisor to the struggling Durban side. They are sitting third from the bottom of the log.

"Gordon and I will be sitting on the bench for our next match. Gordon will start conducting training sessions as from Tuesday, alongside Palmgren and Johan Eriksson," says Gumede.

Gumede said the aim of camping at Empangeni was to "keep our players away from bright city of Durban and night life".

There have been reports that some Thanda players are regulars at popular night clubs, drinking the night away while the team is battling to move up the log.
