London - English Premiership side Middlesbrough on Monday said midfielder George Boateng can talk to other clubs.

Holland international Boateng has spent six years with Boro but the 32-year-old has grown frustrated at not being guaranteed a first-team spot.

Clubs expressing interest include promoted Hull and Scottish champions Celtic.

Boro coach Gareth Southgate told the club's official website: "George has expressed a desire to move on. He's having talks with a couple of other clubs and that is the decision he has got to make now."
