Cape Town - Seven people have been arrested for selling counterfeit tickets and two others were arrested for carrying unlicensed firearms at Newlands stadium in Cape Town, police said on Monday.
Superintendent Vishnu Naidoo said arrests were made on Saturday during the Vodacom clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Manchester United.
"No serious incidents were recorded, but we are concerned that spectators are still buying counterfeit tickets," said Naidoo.
The seven were charged with fraud, the two others with possession of unlicensed firearms. They were all expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Monday.
