  • AmaZulu have discarded veteran midfielder John "Shoes" Moshoeu. This was confirmed by former Bafana Bafana coach Clive Barker.

Sources close to AmaZulu disclosed that Moshoeu's relationship with the team is over and that he would not be returning to Durban next season.

Questioned about the matter, Barker refused to talk about the oldest player in the Absa Premiership.

"Shoes has done a wonderful job for me, both with Bafana Bafana and with AmaZulu and would not like to discuss matters about him in the media as I hold him in high respect."

Barker also said that Usuthu are ready to offer former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Ntokozo Sikhakhane a contract after he impressed the club's technical team.

Sikhakhane has been training with AmaZulu for the last two weeks.

Barker says that they will be happy to have the former Phunya Sele Sele midfielder in the squad next season.

"Ntokozo has been working very hard at training. He is a wonderful player and I must say I have been very impressed with his performance at training. We will be submitting a report to management next week and there is a good chance that we will sign him."

Another player being assessed at the Durban outfit is Bred Ratson from local amateur side, Stella FC.

AmaZulu have lined up friendlies for this weekend in Ulundi. This will form part of King Goodwill Zwelithini's birthday celebrations. The King is Usuthu's honorary president.
