Cybersex replaces real thing

London - If your sex life isn't all you want it to be or if you're looking for a long-distance relationship, an inventor in Australia may have just the thing - virtual reality sex.
Dominic Choy of Cammeray in New South Wales has applied for a patent to replace the real thing with life-like online robots, according to New Scientist magazine.
"Servo motors move its limbs and other body parts in response to signals from both the Internet and from touch and sound sensors on its body," according to the magazine.
Cyber sex would allow people wearing virtual reality visors at opposite ends of the globe who have matching robots to see and hear each other on their Internet connection.
Choy said the online lovers could also programme the system so that one partner could resemble the other's favourite celebrity.
