Microsoft to test Halo 3

San Francisco - Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it would test an online multi-player version of its popular Halo video game for the Xbox 360 console in the spring of 2007.
A trial version of Halo 3 will be available via Xbox Live exclusively for the Xbox 360, according to Microsoft and Bungie Studios, which created the Halo franchise.
"The Halo Nation has a nearly insatiable desire," Microsoft vice president Jeff Bell said.
"We hope a taste of advance Halo 3 game play satisfies some of their appetite as we count down to the game's launch later in 2007."
Bungie plans to use feedback from players to refine the science fiction combat game.
Customised upgrades for Halo 2 online multi-player game for Xbox 360 would also be released in the spring, the companies said.
More than 14.7 million Halo games have been sold worldwide since it was introduced five years ago, according to Bungie.
